One Breath from Him Upon Your Lips
-
You don't know me, but I have watched you.
I have walked your journey many times before.
You don't know me, yet I was there.
Icy winters and raging winds blew across my face
As I looked to heaven and earthly domains
In search of your relief.
Your frail, sick and frightened being
Changed before my very eyes -
One breath from Him upon your lips.
I was there and saw it happen;
The hope of mankind in your eyes,
An outstretched hand to Heaven's light.
It wasn't me you saw this day
But secret visions of things to come;
Secrets you could not impart.
One breath from Him upon your lips
Set forth four winds to lift your soul
In heightened glory too sublime.
One breath from Him upon your lips-
I knew then you were free.
